goal of literacy instruction is twofold: first, to enable
students to understand and gain meaning from words on a page
and second, to be able to clearly communicate their ideas to
others through the use of the written word.
My primary goal is to use
research-based methods to teach your child to read and write
with meaning, accuracy and fluency.
I also conduct comprehensive,
norm-referenced, and informal reading assessments before,
during, and at the end of therapy to identify areas of need
and to measure progress.
